Reach

At bottom of bottle, i knew it not,
Tree-line deceiving, Apollo still rose
Shattered glass, in a ring of mushrooms chose
To sprout towards heaven any way, against the mist
Here alone asleep, the darkened forest was my abode
Except the Moon in Her way, sung no lullaby
To escape, to escape, was a delusion
Even the dryads that haunt in shadow,
Come from beneath the starlight,
So darkness may be abundant, eyelids shut
Yet they left their doze, like Rumpelstiltskin confused
To hear the end of the Night Larks ode,
I reach upwards, and take the black, the forest
And inwardly build a castle, to shelter those still lost
Consuming Perseus, I am light…come forth.

I like pie. Writing poetry for me is all done without editing or pre-thought. Enjoy the dribbles of my mind. :D
